Diana Alanis joined Canyon Snow Consulting in 2026, bringing seven years of frontline civic experience and a deep commitment to building stronger, more connected communities. At Canyon Snow, Diana draws on her expertise in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, and policy advising to help clients navigate complex community and government landscapes.
Prior to joining Canyon Snow, Diana served in two San José City Council offices, most recently as Director of Community Relations for District 7, where she advised an elected official on policy, led neighborhood engagement initiatives, and delivered responsive services to over 100,000 residents. She built and sustained relationships across government agencies, community organizations, and the business sector to leverage resources for underserved communities. Earlier in her career, Diana served as Assistant Director at the YMCA of Silicon Valley, where she honed her leadership and program management skills.
Diana earned her bachelor's degree in Anthropology from San José State University, where she was also active in Speech and Debate Theater. Her academic foundation in human culture and communication continues to shape her approach to civic engagement and her ability to bridge diverse communities.
