A proud graduate of San José State University, Margaret Tamisiea has devoted her career to uplifting the South Bay community through impactful roles in government, nonprofits, and the corporate sector. Her professional journey has encompassed political service, nonprofit leadership, and corporate philanthropy—all anchored in a deep commitment to community-based initiatives.

Margaret most recently served as a Senior Program Manager on the Economic Development Team at the City of Milpitas, where she focused on promoting economic development, supporting small businesses, and building strategic public-private partnerships. Prior to that, she was a Corporate Philanthropy Consultant at Seagate Technology, where she advanced initiatives in philanthropy, grantmaking, volunteerism, and community engagement. These roles reflect her ability to bridge sectors and drive meaningful impact through collaboration and innovation.

Margaret lives in San Jose with her husband, Steve, and their two spirited rescue pups, Milo and Gigi, who may be small in stature but are big in personality. She finds joy in hiking, biking, floral design, and getting lost in a good book.
